Our Mission to Help Baba Atseko Isaac
Dear Friends and Family,
We are participating in an amazing Mountain Bike race in South Africa during the month of March. Bicyclist from around the world will be competing for eights days in the mountains of this beautiful country. Many of the teams participating are using this as an opportunity to raise awareness and funds for certain charities that they are invested in.
After much thought and consideration our team would like to use this experience that we are fortunate enough to also be a part of to bring awareness to the needs of the people in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. I have personally met Baba Atseko Isaac, who is the administrator of medicine in the dioceses D’ARU. His organization is involved with three hospitals and seven health centers where they are training individuals to help educate the people of his country to live healthier more productive lives. Sexual Assault, Malaria, HIV, Family Planning and how to have a simple basic need such as Clean Water met. Many more important health related topics are also a part of the training.
Those of us living in the western world are very fortunate to have an education on these subjects and to have clean water to drink. Our goal is to reach out to those who are less fortunate than us, bringing awareness to their basic needs and to not just be tourist visiting their continent but to make a lasting difference in the lives of a people group we may never meet.
Will you please take the time to consider joining us in our effort to make a small difference in this corner of the world. Thank you in advance for any help you might be able to contribute.
Matthew 25:35 – 36
“For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger, and you took me into your home. I needed clothes, and you gave me something to wear. I was sick, and you took care of me. I was in prison, and you visited me.”
